Elle's many silly faces
Fun facts @16 months:
- Elle can say a lot of words which according to her doctor is a little bit advanced for a toddler her age! She makes us laugh everyday with all the new words that she is learning. Daddy Jarbs thinks she should be a comedian! lol.
- She is multilingual. She can understand simple commands in Spanish, Tagalog/Filipino and English :). She even knows more Tagalog than Daddy Jarbs!
- She sleeps from 8:00 -8:30 pm to 7:00 -7:30 am and most often sleeps in during weekends. She gets one 2 hour nap at day care. At home, she sleeps with her two teddy bears. Sometimes I'll find her patting both of her teddy bears to sleep just like what her teacher does to her during nap time lol.
- During meal time, she either prefers to seat on her toddler table or her booster chair. She's turning out to be a moody eater which is frustrating at times. She'll remind me to put on her bib (she'll say bee bee bee) right before meal time. She loves animal crackers, craisins, bananas and mangoes!
- Elle can count from one to ten both in English and Spanish.
- Elle loves books! She loves going through her bookcase, pick a book, hand it to me and say "weed, weed" while she sits on my lap
- She can recognize faces of family member in photos especially her lolo, lola, tita, gramma and pop! She can also recognize photos of animals (dog, cat, sheep, frog, lion, elephant, duck, chimp to name a few) and will say the sounds that they make
- She "answers back" now. If you ask her to do something, she'll either shake her head or say "no" or nod her head and say "yesh".
- Loves playing with her stacking blocks (she can stack them all the way up to the little piece), her little play kitchen and her dolls
- Will say pee pee and point to her crotch after she has gone #1 or # 2
- Greets me with a huge smile and runs towards me when she sees me arrive at day care
- Loves the outdoors. Sometimes she'll ask for her jacket and hat and sit on her stroller so we can go outside
- Loves playing Ring Around the Rosy. She'll grab my hand and Daddy Jarbs hand so the three of us can play and sing. She calls it the "achee, achee" (as in ashes, ashes) song :P. She'
- LOVES to sing. She gets frustrated when I can't understand the song she wants us to sing :P.
- Says "uh oh" when she drops something or does something she's not suppose to do
- Said "I ssshoyyee" (I'm sorry) to Daddy Jarbs when he was scolding her after she intentionally spilt water on the floor. We didn't know she knew how to say sorry. We found out later that they taught her that at day care.
- Loves doing Facetime with Tita, Lola and Lolo. Around dinner time, she'll start saying "Tita". She knows we call Tita Elie around that time. I'll ask her in Tagalog to go find the Ipad so we can call tita and she'll grab it and give to me.
- Still SO attached to Mommy. She's gone from calling me "Mama" to "Mommy". She'll often grab my hand or push me away from the kitchen counter when she wants me to play with her
- She has great memory. She knows were we hide the food :P. She'll grab my hand, pull me to the kitchen and point to the counter where we hide her snacks.
