Let's talk about clothes..

Baby Jarbs @ 25w5d

It is amazing to see my belly grow each week. By now, Baby Jarbs should be between 13 - 14 inches long and weighing close to 2 lbs!! In two weeks, I'll be on my 3rd trimester. Holy cow! Where did time go?!

Yesterday, I tried wearing my regular (non-maternity) work pants to work. Although, I can still pull the pants up, I can't zip them up anymore :-(. I had to wear a belly band over it to prevent it from falling off. I love the maternity pants with full panel waist bands. They're so comfy. I only have 2 and refuse to buy more until I get much bigger and feel I really HAVE to. As for tops, I can still fit in my regular size small shirts/blouses but as you can imagine, they're tight around the belly!! I don't mind having my belly stick out. At least now it's more obvious that there's a baby in there and I did not just eat my breakfast, lunch and dinner in one sitting :-). Growing belly means Baby Jarbs is growing as she should! Yes, grow baby grow! :-).

2nd wedding anniversary!

It has been a weekend of celebration! Today, Daddy Jarbs and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary! We wanted to have a low key celebration so we just did what we like doing best....EAT! We ordered in Thai food for lunch and busted out the fine china :-). For dinner, we headed out to Founding Farmers restaurant for a nice anniversary dinner - our last before Baby Jarbs arrives. She'll be able to celebrate with us during our wedding anniversary next year! :-)

On our way home, we did a drive by at Sibley Hospital where I am scheduled to give birth. Yes, we're mapping out our emergency route :-).

Whole crispy flounder, pad see ew and pad king tofu!

Check out this cool shirt (with matching pajama) that Daddy Jarbs gave to me as an anniversary gift. He gave me a couple other cute shirts too! How sweet :-).

Another bump pic and more crabs!

Daddy Jarbs took this photo this morning before we left for work. I am wearing the kimono dress I got from Tarjay. It's so comfy!!

After work, Daddy Jarbs and I went to Costco to go grocery shopping. I was happy to see the watermelons are back in season! I love watermelons. They are so yummy, not to mention low fat. They are a good snack for Baby Jarbs and myself. I bought TWO huge watermelons :-). When I put the melons in our shopping cart, of course Daddy Jarbs had to say to me "nice melons" lol. It cracks him up every time.

Daddy Jarbs also got dungeness crabs at Costco to cook for our dinner! Marlyland blue crabs are my favorite but Baby Jarbs and I will take whatever kind of crab we can get.

I finally caved...

and went shopping!! I was trying to hold off as much as I can but finding decent tops to wear to work is getting to be a challenge. I can still fit in most of my clothes but they are getting tight around the tummy..not a very pretty sight. Tonight, while Daddy Jarbs is out playing softball, I ventured out to Pentagon City mall. I mustered the courage to go to Motherhood Maternity store :-). Well, I found out the these maternity stores are not very short/petite people friendly!! Most of their size "small" blouses and dresses are way too big for me. Their clothes have decent prices though. I ended up getting a petite yoga pants (the only one in the rack) for $19 and maternity shorts with a full panel for $19 and maternity tankini for $30!

All of them are still a little bit loose for me but I thought I might as well get them since I am already there (I hate going to malls and try to avoid going back as much as possible). It will only take a few more weeks before the shorts can fit me perfectly. Plus, I can always fold over the panel to support my belly. Baby Jarbs has been having a growth spurt lately so who knows, they may all fit perfectly by the time we get to Cabo San Lucas for our babymoon! I hate to admit that I had to get the maternity tankini. I am not sure if I have enough courage to wear my 2 pc bikinis while in Cabo. I'll still bring them with me though :-).

I also ended up buying a couple of loose tops at Macys JUNIORS section! I had my coupon for $10 & 20% off so I was able to use them :-).
