Off to Cabo...

I am currently at the National airport, waiting for our flight. We're finally off to Cabo! Weee! I think Baby Jarbs is excited too. She's been kicking up a storm since her official debut and big show yesterday. Prior to yesterday, she would only get her presence known once or twice per day. Yesterday, she was kicking all day and night.

The idea of us having a baby girl is slowly sinking in. All the grandmas and titas (aunts) are excited to buy her cute baby clothes. How can you resist buying those adorable clothes :-). Daddy Jarbs is now thinking of all the sports that he would want her to play.  Umm, I just hope that she gets Daddy Jarbs' sports skills not mine! :-)

I am not sure if I will be  able to update the blog regularly for the next few days. I'll TRY not to log online and just enjoy our alone time together. I'll TRY....

Whoops, flight boarding. Hasta la vista!

18 weeks

Weekly check-in:

How far along?: 18w3d
How big is baby: The size of a sweet potato!
Weight gain/loss: +8 lbs
Pregnancy symptoms: Growing belly, fetal movements
Maternity clothes: I bought maternity pants from Gap that I can wear to work. One has a demi panel and one with full panel. They feel so comfy! Even Daddy Jarbs wants one! lol.
Stretch Marks: None
Sleep: For the past couple of nights I've been waking up at 6 am. I don't normally wake up that early. I get up 2-3x a night to pee.
Best moment this week: Feeling the "fish" inside my belly
Movement: Yes! Yesterday, Baby Jarbs had his/her presence felt TWO times! First was during the morning when I woke up and second was at the end of the day, right before I fell asleep.
Food cravings: Salty food but nothing in particular
Food aversions: Very sweet food in general
Labor signs: None
Belly button in or out: Still in but it doesn't look as deep as before :-/
What I miss: Being able to sleep in ANY position! Now, I have to be mindful to always lay on my left side.
What I am looking forward to: 3D ultrasound/gender determination this Friday and babymoon trip on Saturday!! Can't wait!
Milestones:

Baby's become amazingly mobile, passing the hours yawning, hiccupping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking, and swallowing. And baby is finally big enough that you'll soon be able to feel her movements.

There's a fish...

inside my belly :-).

I was sitting on the couch and working on my laptop when all of a sudden I felt like a small fish just swam inside my belly! I stopped and told Daddy Jarbs (who was sitting beside me) "I think I just felt the baby move!". A few days ago, I have felt weird pokes in my belly but I was not exactly sure if it was Baby Jarbs moving or just my uterus twitching. According to my baby books, baby's movements feel like a bubble or a fish swimming in your tummy. Well tonight, I felt the fish!! :-). Daddy Jarbs immediately put his hand on my tummy but the "fish" was gone :-(. I am looking forward to feeling more "fishes" inside my belly in the next few weeks. Swim baby swim!
