My cousins from North Carolina are in town for Thanksgiving holiday. Elle hasn't seen her Tita Angel since she was 2 weeks old and Uncle Tim visited us last summer. Elle loves them both! She loves playing with them and holding hands while sitting in the car and while walking. We spent the whole day with them yesterday and Elle had a blast. She got upset when I dropped off her Tita Angel (who she confuses with cousin Baby Anya and accidentally calls Baby Angel! lol) and Uncle Tim at the mall and would refuse to nap or go to bed because she just wants to play with them! I know she would be so sad when they leave to go back to NC 😞.
Here are some photos taken at the National Harbor. We missed the tree lighting ceremony but got there in time for the fireworks. Elle got scared of the fireworks and had her face buried on Daddy Jarbs' neck the entire time. She said "Nana scary" meaning she was scared lol. She was so happy when the fireworks were done, clapped her hands and said "Yay! No more bang bang in the sky!" Lol.

Elle's 1st Easter!
Today we celebrated Elle's 1st Easter! We had a full day but nevertheless a fun one!
When Eleiana woke up, she hang out at Mommy & Daddy Jarbs' room where we read her Pat the Bunny book. We did not realize until later that she's wearing her bunny pajama on Easter! :-)
We had our own Jarbs family Easter brunch at Bombay Club. It is one of our favorite Indian restaurants. The last time we were here, Daddy Jarbs and I just started dating! Elle behaved really well while we were having lunch. She was happily playing with Sophie while Daddy Jarbs and I were enjoying the buffet brunch.

Later in the day, we headed off to Grandma & Grandpa Jarbs' house for Easter dinner.
Here she is with Godmomma/Aunt Kim and Aunt Terri. Aunt Kim gave her books for Easter. Grandma Jarbs got her a stuffed bunny and a singing duck.

Look who can sit up (unassisted) now!
Her new skill! Since she has discovered her toes, she can't get her hands and mouth off of them!

Birthday brunch and visit to Grandma Jarbs
It was another busy day for the Jarbs family. We went to Ted's Bulletin in Capitol Hill for brunch to meeti with family and celebrate my Aunt Marissa and cousin Anabel's birthdays! Elle was napping when we arrived at Ted's but when she woke up, she got busy looking at people around the restaurant and the big tv screen on the wall! We do not want her to watch tv especially at her age but she's always mesmerized when she sees one. We do not want to start a bad habit so we try to keep her away from the tv as much as possible.
The birthday celebrants with the ginormous cupcake that we got them
Elle was eyeing my fries! Sorry baby, you can't have them yet!
After brunch, we went straight to La Plata to visit Grandma Jarbs. Elle was a bit fussy but good thing grandma was able to have some play time with her.
Grandma took these photos of her. She has learned to mimic other people. If you stick your tongue out, she'll stick hers right back at ya! lol

Family time!
My relatives from North Carolina were in town so we had a nice family get-together in our house. My grandma who is visiting from Manila also came along with my aunt, uncle and cousins who live in the area.
Our family loves crabs so we had a crab feast! We got a buschel of fresh crabs from the marina . Needless to say, we easily inhaled the whole buschel :-).

Everybody's looking forward to Baby Jarbs' arrival. Daddy & Mommy Jarbs could not wait to introduce our little darling to everyone :-). Four more weeks!!

Nice spring Sunday
Finally, spring is here. We were blessed with a gorgeous weather today. We met up with my Uncle Jun, Tita Marissa and cousin Anabel for brunch at Kennedy Center's Roof Terrace Restaurant. We celebrated my sister's recent graduation. Since we have the family together, Daddy Jarbs and I took the opportunity to let everybody know the impending addition to the family. Needless to say, the whole family was thrilled and are hoping for twins! :-).
During lunch, we found out that twins run on my dad, Lolo Eddie's, side as well! Holy moly! Uncle Jun said, Nanay (my grandma) had twin siblings. They were fraternal twins - one boy and one girl. Okay, so twins run in both sides of MY family. Everybody's rooting for us to have twins. I have a gut feel that it won't be though. Hopefully, we will be able to find out when we have our doc's appointment, which is in 9 days!

Baby Jarbs' Lola & Tita are here!
My mom and sister arrived from the Philippines today. In the Filipino language, grandma is "lola" and aunt is "tita". They will be here for three weeks. I am glad that they will be here when we have our 1st prenatal appointment and we'll be able to share our experience first hand. We will spill the beans to them this coming Sunday when our family meets up for brunch :-). Baby Jarbs will surely be spoiled with yummy Filipino food for the next three weeks.
