Outtakes from the Vday shoot

Here are some outtakes from the Valentines day shoot :).

She gave me the "what-is-this-mommy?" look when I handed her the foam heart.

I had to bribe her with lotsa pretzels to coerce her to sit on her chair :P. 

Finally got her to smile but that's because she thinks it's hilarious to keep pushing

 and throwing the foam heart on the floor and have mommy pick it up each time!

Happy Valentines Day!

I can't believe it's Valentines day again. I still remember exactly a year ago, Elle and I spent Valentines day at Gymboree. This year, we did not have any special Valentines day plans. Daddy Jarbs brought home carry out food from an Indian restaurant which the three of us enjoyed. Elle especially loved the naan bread and salmon masala. She kept asking for "mow, mow" :).

Last year, Elle gave Daddy Jarbs with her footprint on it. This year, Elle gave her daddy a Valentines day card and a bar of Reese's peanut butter heart chocolate :-).

Elle's 1st Valentines Day

Elle and I celebrated Valentines day by going to her class at Gymboree :-). We arrived at the class early so we played in front of the mirror. She won't stop giggling while looking at herself in the mirror! She's such a girl! lol.

Here she is showing off her tummy time skills in class. She seems to do better with her tummy time when we're surrounded by other babies. What a show off!

When Daddy Jarbs got home from work, Elle gave him her Valentines day gift which she made at the Gymboree class last week. She gave Daddy Jarbs a shirt with her footprints on it :-). Also, Elle invited Daddy Jarbs to the Father's night at her Gymboree class next Monday. She can show Daddy Jarbs what she has learned from class :-). 

First baby free night!

Daddy Jarbs and I had our first baby free night! Elle stayed at Grandma Jarbs for the night while Daddy Jarbs and I stayed at the Gaylord Hotel to have an early Valentines day celebration. We had a nice lobster dinner at Bond 45 at the National Harbor. It's funny how we spent half of the time during dinner talking about our little darling and looking at her pictures in my camera! lol. After dinner, we went to Posh Lounge where we met up with our friends Dulce and Chris who also happened to be spending a kid-free night at the National Harbor.

Grandma Jarbs said Elle was a little angel. She went down for the night at 9:45 pm, woke up at 5 am to eat, went back to sleep and woke up at 8:30 am the next day. Yay!
