I talked to Elle's teacher when I picked her up from day care last Friday. Elle was holding a toy duck and I asked her to tell me what the duck says. The teacher said "oh, she knows what the ducks says." I said "I know, she does". The teacher then said "she is very smart" and added that during circle time, Elle would rarely sit still. She would walk and wander around but they know she is listening because even if she's walking around, she would still sing along and participate in their activity. The teacher also mentioned that when they are doing art/crafts, Elle is so meticulous and careful with her work like she's really putting much thought into it. Her teachers are amazed with her skills. I asked if all the other kids are like that and the teacher said no :P. I think all parents believe that their own kids are smart but it's another thing to hear other people say it :).
