Daddy Jarbs and I got a call from day care this afternoon asking us to pick up Elle. She has bad diarrhea and has pooped 9 times since this morning! Both Daddy Jarbs and I left work early to pick her up. I was worried that she'll get dehydrated so I gave her pedialyte when we got home. I put it in her straw cup and she drank it with no problem. A few minutes later, as she was sitting on her high chair, comes the projectile vomit! :(. This was the first time ever that she has thrown up. I am not sure if the pedialyte did not sit well in her tummy. I called the doctor and she told us to keep an eye on her and keep giving liquids to make sure she does not get dehydrated. She's been drinking water A LOT so hopefully that is enough to keep her hydrated. She does not have any fever but the doctor said we should observe her and bring her to the hospital if her temperature rises and have blood in her stool. Poor baby :(. She has been in bed since 6:30 pm which is so early for her bed time. The doc said there is a stomach bug going around and they are getting a lot of calls about babies with diarrhea. Elle must have picked it up somehow. Interestingly, she is the only baby at day care who has diarrhea so I wonder where she picked up the bug?
