I snagged some Washington Nationals tickets for tonight's game! My coworker couldn't make it to the game since he is traveling so he offered them to me! I called Daddy Jarbs at work to ask if he's interested to go and make sure he can get home early in time for the game. To make the long story short, we decided at 4 pm that we'll go to this evening's 7 pm game :-).We invited our friend Aubrey to come with us.
Elle wore her Nats outfit, well, pajamas, to the game with matching red hair clip :-). It was a tad on the chilly side plus we figured she'd sleep anyway :-). Daddy Jarbs wore Elle in the Beco carrier facing out. As we were walking into the stadium, Elle started getting excited. She started kicking her legs and flapping her arms lol. She loves being out and gets excited when there's too much going on.
When we got to our seats, which by the way were awesome (4th row behind the home dugout box), Elle sat on Daddy Jarbs' lap. She contently watched the game and at the same time tried to grab Daddy Jarbs' pretzels and nachos (which resulted in spilt mustard sauce on Daddy Jarbs' shirt!). She was such a trooper and never fussed. After a few innings, she sat on my lap and happily played with my hair while occasionally tapping Aubrey's shoulders lol. By 8:30 pm (which is a little past her 8 pm bedtime), we put her back in the carrier facing in, walked around the concourse a little bit and within a minute, she conked out. I did not want her to be out so late in the night so Elle and I left the game early while Daddy Jarbs and Aubrey stayed until the end of the game. So much for Elle's 1st baseball game!
