Elle's day care closed early for Good Friday so I picked her up and then we drove to Virginia to pick up Daddy Jarbs from work. On our way home, we decided to make a quick stop at Daingerfield Island. It is not actually an island but it is surrounded on most sides by the Potomac River. It is off of GW Parkway and is very close to the Reagan National Airport. It is a good spot to watch planes take off. There's a huge grassy lawn and there are some few picnic tables so it's also good spot to go picnic. Since we did not originally plan to go here, we did not bring any snacks or any food. All three of us ended up snacking on Elle's animal crackers while watching the planes :). At first, Elle was scared of the loud noise when the planes were taking off but eventually, she warmed up and started waving and saying "bye" to the planes.
