New learnings...

Elle never ceases to amaze me with the things that she is learning every day. The other day, I accidentally found out that she knows how to count in both English and Spanish. I wanted to get herself familiarized with the numbers so I started to count in front of her. As soon as I said "one...", to my amazement, she said "two" and then continued to "count" with me until 10. She can't clearly say the numbers yet but I could tell she was counting with me and not just randomly blurting out words.

This evening, I accidentally found out that she can identify the different parts of her face in English.  I have previously taught her where her ulo (head), nose (ilong), mata (eyes) and kili-kili (underarm) are. She can point and identify them easily. I haven't taught the same parts in English language thinking she may get confused if I use two different languages to describe them. Tonight, Elle proved me wrong. Out of the blue, I just thought to ask her where her "nose" is and to my surprise she pointed to her nose! I didn't think she would be able to point to me where her "eyes", "mouth", and "ears" are if I ask in English but surprisingly, she did know what they are and easily pointed to the different parts on her face! I did not teach her any of that so she must have learned them at day care. Glad to know the money we're paying for day care is paying off :).

Here's a video of her pointing out to the different parts of her face
(excuse the runny nose!)
