Since I am going back to work in a month, I want to spend the last month of my maternity leave doing fun stuff with Elle. That said, I enrolled her in the Gymboree Play and Learn class for babies 0-6 months old! I took Elle to her 1st class today at the Gymboree in Alexandria. There were 6 babies in the class. I thought Elle was going to be the youngest in the class but there was a 6 week old baby boy there. We did activities that help the baby explore their senses and support visual and auditory development. We sang songs, played with finger puppets and did tummy time. Elle especially loved looking at her reflection in the mirror during tummy time. I caught her smiling at herself! She's such a girl! lol. She also kept looking at other babies! I think going to the class will be good for her . I want her to get used to seeing and meeting more people which will hopefully make the transition to daycare a tad easier. It's also good for me as I get to meet and socialize with other moms!
